With "The Rare Walk", Loro Piana opens its first store dedicated to shoes in Asia, at the newly built K11 Musea mall in Hong Kong. The store design draws on the brand’s heritage of meticulous dedication to quality in producing the world's finest cashmere as well as on Hong Kong’s rich history with its unique bamboo scaffolding construction technique. By unfolding the story of how Hong Kong was built, the concept represents a tribute to local creativity and culture, conveying how modernity has been built from tradition. Using the technology and strength of a plant when creating the store design pays homage to Loro Piana's craftsmanship and expertise in nurturing innovation from nature. Two months after the opening, the store changed its entire appearance when all cashmere elements were turned from Loro Piana's signature kummel-colour into a bright blue tone, giving customers an entirely different experience and sense of refreshment.
